Dumb and Dumber… er?

The Farrelly Brother’s haven’t had a decent film success since what, 2005? Or 2007 with The Heartbreak Kid at a push, and so it appears they’ve decided to go back to where it all began, again.
People have been asking about another sequel from the brothers for a few years now, but most thought it was fairly unlikely given Carey’s reluctance to appear in sequels. Yet, while promoting Mr Poppers Penguins Carey is quoted as saying “We’re talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about. There’s ‘Bruce Almighty,’ and we’re talking about maybe another ‘Dumb and Dumber.”
The film was quickly treated to a prequel and a cartoon spin off TV series after the success of its original release back in 1994. A sequel, one imagines, would see what Harry and Lloyd and their pet beaver are up to now.
The Farralley’s are currently in post-production for The Three Stooges but they have reportedly got Sean Anders and John Morris (Sex Drive) on board to write a script that they intend to direct.
