Forget Paranormal Activity, this is ParaNorman’s Activity!

From the people that brought us Coraline comes the original story ParaNorman, the story of a young boy with amazing powers. The movie has been on the cards for some time and is set to include the voice talents of Casey Affleck, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill and Twilight’s Anna Kendrick. Alongside the all star cast ParaNorman boasts the likes of Oscar winner Brian Van’t Hul (Coraline) as the Visual Effects Supervisor, Nelson Lowry (Corpse Bride) as Production Designer and Tristan Oliver (Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit) as Director of Photography
In the movie Norman, the town outcast, must use his supernatural abilities to talk to the dead to save the world from ghosts, zombies and utterly oblivious parents.
We are expecting Focus Features to release a teaser trailer in the next few days. The movie is set to be another stop motion animation, like it’s LAIKA predecessor and will be shown in 3D upon it’s release in August 2012.
The first teaser poster for the movie was released on Tuesday and bears the ominous tagline: “You don’t become a hero by being normal”.
